Hatch Fly Reels were born in 2003 out a dream of making a fly fishing reel that has it all; lightweight, high quality machining and a drag system with tolerances previously thought unreachable. The sealed multi-disc drag cassette consists of Rulon and stainless steel discs which apply even drag pressure and heat distribution over multiple surfaces, and is water resistant, maintenance free and self lubricating. By adding dimension to the frame, Hatch has created a backbone effect, thereby increasing strangth, durability and the virtual elimination of lateral flex. The reels have a type II anodized finish for both fresh and saltwater applications. The reel seat is machined onto the reel cage, and by the elimination of screws there's no worry about corrosion or the reel foot loosening. Each reel comes in a collectible tin printed with a river bottom graphic, embossed H Logo lid, and custom 4 mil Hatch reel pouch. You will find no finer packaging in the industry.
